10 Questions for the Founder of Studio Libra

1. Most people who open a Pilates studio are instructors themselves. What made you take this leap as a non-instructor, and what gave you the confidence to do it?

It’s true that most Pilates studios are founded by instructors, but for me, Studio Libra was never just about Pilates—it was about creating a space that truly embodies balance and well-being. As a Pilates student myself, I deeply understand the struggles of fitting self-care into a busy schedule. I saw a gap: a place that seamlessly combines Pilates, therapeutic treatments, and holistic care under one roof. My background in hospitality, managing teams, and curating experiences gave me the confidence to bring this vision to life. I knew that if I surrounded myself with the right professionals, this dream could become a reality—and it did! I feel truly grateful for our incredible tribe—a team of highly skilled, dedicated, and passionate individuals. Their trust in me and in the vision of Studio Libra is the greatest reward I could ever ask for. I couldn’t do any of this without them, I feel truly blessed and lucky for the support I get from every single one of them!

2. You’ve mentioned that the idea of Libra came to you in a single moment. Can you take us back to that exact day? What was running through your mind?

It was such an ordinary day, yet it changed everything. I stumbled across a property in Monte Estoril, and something just clicked—this would be the perfect space for a Pilates studio! I was instantly excited, not just because I love Pilates but because Monte Estoril has always felt like home to me. When that space didn’t work out, I couldn’t let go of the idea. I kept searching until I found the one—the moment I stepped through the door, I just knew. I could already see people walking in, feeling at peace, and finding their own balance here. It was a feeling of complete certainty.

3. From the moment you found the space to opening the doors, what was the most unexpected challenge you faced—and how did you overcome it?

The biggest challenge was the sheer amount of decisions to make in such a short time. Everything had to be carefully thought out—from selecting the best equipment to curating a team that truly aligned with my vision. Since I wasn’t an instructor, I knew I had to be extra intentional about the professionals I brought in. But I trusted my instincts, and I never compromised on quality. Every challenge was tackled with the mindset that this wasn’t just a business—it was something I deeply believed in.

4. What makes Studio Libra different from any other Pilates or wellness studio? What experience do you want people to have the second they walk in?

Studio Libra isn’t just a Pilates studio—it’s a sanctuary where wellness becomes effortless. Everything here has been designed with intention, from the peaceful ambiance to the carefully selected treatments that complement each other. The moment someone walks in, I want them to feel a sense of calm and belonging, like they’ve stepped into a place where they are truly cared for. Whether they come for a Pilates session, a therapeutic treatment, or simply to take a break from the outside world, they’ll find a space that supports their journey to a more balanced life.

5. What was the most rewarding moment since starting this journey—something that truly made you stop and think, ‘Yes, this is why I did it’?

The soft opening in January was an incredibly emotional moment for me. Seeing everything come together, watching people step into the space and instantly understand the vision—it was overwhelming in the best way possible. But the real validation comes every single day when clients tell us how much they love being here, how it has helped them feel better, stronger, and more balanced. Those moments make all the effort worth it.

6. You’re not just offering Pilates—you’ve built a complete wellness space with different treatments and therapies. How do you see all these elements coming together to create something truly unique?

Pilates is incredible on its own, but wellness is about more than just movement. It’s about addressing the body, mind, and overall well-being in a way that’s sustainable. That’s why Studio Libra integrates different therapies—massage, alternative medicine, and beauty treatments—so people can create their own personalized wellness journey. The idea is that you don’t have to jump between locations to take care of yourself; everything you need is in one place.

7. Many people dream of starting something new but hesitate because of fear or self-doubt. What advice would you give to someone who has an idea but is unsure if they should go for it?

If something truly excites you, don’t ignore it. Fear and doubt are always part of the process, but the key is to trust yourself and take one step at a time. When I started, I had no guarantees that this would work. But I followed my instinct, did my research, and surrounded myself with people who believed in the vision. Taking risks is scary, but it’s also the only way to create something extraordinary.

8. Libra represents balance, and your story is one of creating balance not just for your clients but in your own life. How has this journey changed your personal relationship with health and well-being?

It has deepened my understanding of what true balance means. Before Libra, I was always running from one appointment to another, struggling to make time for self-care. Now, I realize that wellness isn’t just about booking a class—it’s about creating an environment where taking care of yourself is effortless. I’ve learned to be more present, to listen to my body, and to appreciate the little rituals that make a difference in my daily life.

9. If you could describe Studio Libra in just three words, what would they be—and why?
